April's Fight Against Cancer

April Soriano suffers from a rare connective tissue disorder and has battled many different illnesses over the years as a result.   These illnesses have lead to 3 cornea transplants, and several surgeries related to that.  Last year she had an accident that resulted in her losing sight in one of her eyes. She is still receiving  medical treatments for that will need to undergo multiple surgeries to resolve.  

Despite fighting these two battles, April and her daughter were dealt a heavy blow this year when she was diagnosed with giant cell bone tumors and breast cancer.  Due to the underlying connective tissue disorder receiving standard treatment that insurance covers such as chemotherapy and radiation could be fatal.

Therefore, April must seek alternative treatment that is not covered by standard medical insurance.  The testing and diagnostics alone to get to this point put a tremendous financial strain on April and her young daughter.   Furthermore, without support through this gofundme initiative April will not be able to receive this alternative treatment to beat cancer.
