April S. Bell Memorial and Support Fund

Hi everyone, my name is Lindsey Bell and I’m raising money to cover funeral costs for my mother April S. Bell.

My mom passed away in a traumatic way unexpectedly and suddenly on Tuesday, March 14th. Unfortunately my two other family members (nana/aunt) knew but never informed me that my mother was in an extremely fragile state. I didn’t get the chance to say goodbye and she sadly died alone. She died of septic shock and gangrene to her feet and hands. They tried their hardest to revive April but she became unresponsive and was declared deceased at 8:05am.

April was a modern-Jewish woman. Jewish law states that a Jew must be buried and be in a Jewish cemetery. My other family members wanted to cremate her but that is a disgraceful sin to our religion.

My mother was a kind hearted person, loved animals and always tried to help anyone she could. She had her own problems when I was growing up, but I can’t fault her because she always tried to be the best mom despite her own internal struggles. I myself am going through chemotherapy treatment for another 10 weeks. On top of my own medical problems, I have problems paying for my medications and treatment. Aprils passing was so tragically unexpected that I don’t have the funds to afford to pay for proper burial. Though our hearts are aching, we trust and pray that April is now pain free and at peace.
