April Morrow's Bilateral Hip Replacement Recovery
Donation protected
Hello dear Friends and Family of April Morrow. Some of you may know me, others not. I am a friend and roommate of April's. Like so many, I love and respect April.
As many of you know, April has faced a barrage of health challenges in her life. She has faced them gracefully and, quite literally, kept dancing. In the past several years, the degenerative arthritis in both her hips has slowed her substantially. Crippled by the pain, she did less and less of what she loves most - teaching us all to dance so beautifully. The consequences of this change include a severe decrease in her income and ability to survive / thrive.
On Tuesday, November 27, April underwent bilateral (both sides at once) total hip replacements. I believe that none of us, including April, were fully prepared for how severely this would handicap her and how long it would take to rehabilitate. Just before surgery, she got the news two of her tenants / roommates were moving out this month. This created an additional shortfall and pushed her into a real financial crisis. She is worrying so much over finances when she needs to put all her energy into her rehab.
As we all know, she would be the first one to help any of us under different circumstances. I cannot stand by and watch her risk losing her home, studio and health. I would give her the moon if I had it. Unfortunately, I do not. So, I am reaching out to April's community of friends and family. If each of us does a little, together we can do a lot. I understand this can be a financially difficult time of year for many. If you cannot give at this time, please consider sharing on Facebook. Every little bit helps.
Thank you so much! Please feel free to reach out to me personally with questions and/or concerns.
Linda
