As many already know, on 2/25/23, my sister April Evans and her husband Danny Mata were t-boned in a crash 10 minutes from their home in Austin, TX.

April was care flighted to the nearest hospital, but tragically Danny died on scene. April currently is in the ICU at Dell Seton Medical Center with many injuries and has had two emergency surgeries. She is stable and alert and being well taken care of by her medical team.

She currently is surrounded by family and could use any additional support to ensure she can continue to mourn the most tragic loss free of financial stress.

Danny is survived by his two parents, and, sister and brother. He was a kind soul who took great care in loving my sister with his entire being. April will be mourning this loss with the Mata family and any ability to ease the financial stress is appreciated.

All donations will be given to April to ease the gut-wrenching pain she is going through both mentally and physically.

Many were unaware that in December April and Danny had a private ceremony where they were married. Two love birds so impatient to start their lives together, they had to elope. Let’s remind April that we celebrate their marriage, their friendship, and their kindness, and now in their brokenness, we celebrate and support them.
