April Diane Pilkey

Hi, my name is Stephen, the son of April Pilkey. Mom passed away in the hospital on Saturday, October 22, 2022. Mom fought a good fight with a lung disease that the doctors could never treat. Mom's final 9 days of life were on life support with family surrounding her. Here is a little about my mom, she worked hard and was always willing to help whenever possible. Mom was a kind would who would help whoever she could. Mom had my sister and me then my sister would come on to have Braxton. Mom loved Braxton to death and would get this baby whatever he wanted. Mom was very generous to her grandbabies, including Hope, my furbaby. Mom would come to the house and stay for the week, and you could hear mom say, "Hope come here; nanna has a treat for you."

Mom has a life insurance policy; however, it doesn't pay out for 3 years. Mom's final wishes on her bedside were to be buried at Holston College Cemetery next to her family. Mom had bought her spot already. I wanna give mom a celebration of life that she definitely deserves. Anything will help as this will relieve some of the family's expenses.
