Hi; my name is Cheryl and I'm fundraising for my dear friend. April needs help. She's separating from a relationship that is severely negatively affecting her health and to move forward she must leave her home, which is also devastating. She has been raising children and only had a part-time income. She has a 14-year-old child and one older child that she is still supporting, plus their pets. Understandably, she is very stressed about being so unprepared for the move and suddenly facing being a single mom. She urgently needs money for housing for her family and she doesn't currently own a running car.

In addition, she recently found out that her beloved dog Zoey has cancer (diagnosed first as a harmless lipoma, but that vet turned out to be wrong), which is heart-crushing news at the worst time. Zoey's tumor needs to be removed for biopsy, and hopefully her life will be extended, giving her more time.

April is a fantastic mom, a hard worker, and a devoted friend. She has given tons of help in service to others throughout her life. She's often donated her skills when people can't pay. She's going through a huge total life change and this crisis has her feeling like her entire life and planned future is gone. April is still working on a better income situation and has to manage this transition on her own without much in the way of help or resources while in a very remote area.

I would love to support her through this very difficult time. April is the friend who is there for everyone, no matter what she's going through, the one who gives with no expectation of return. I want to show her that she's not alone and that some of the good she's done can come back to her when she's in need. She is a strong person and the poster woman for self-sufficiency, but this is beyond even April.

$12,000 would help her find an affordable car, pay for Zoey's surgery, and get herself into a stable living situation. All of these are urgent needs for her family.
