With the help of some of Dawn’s friends, we have put together a GoFundMe site to support her. Please consider contributing to the GFM we have set up for Dawn, to help defray the costs of John’s Remembrance.

Below are Dawn’s thoughts of John’s Remembrance:
John was beloved by his family, friends & colleagues. His Remembrance was in April, with nearly 100 family & friends communing together. Rabbi John Fishman officiated the event, at John's request, as they had become good friends over the years.
After Rabbi John read a thoughtful poem, the Veterans of Foreign Wars presented full Military Honors in memory of John. This included the Gun Salute and the playing of Taps, the deeply touching sound of the bugle to signal “lights out” at the end of the military day. They then presented the American Flag to Dawn.
John’s brother Joe, his sister Marti and nephew Hans sang two songs, one written by Joe about he & John when they lived in the mountains as kids. Rabbi John, family & friends shared many memories which brought more tears, as well as smiles & laughter. Eight Bells was sounded, somber and respectful, to indicate the end of John’s watch.
Then, a heartfelt toast to John!
Your support before, during and since John's Remembrance, whether in person or from afar, has been so appreciated. I thank you deeply. Many of you have asked what else you can do to help, so a group of friends have created a GoFundMe account. Any additional funds received will be donated to the Veterans of Foreign Wars in thanks for their support.
Thank you for sharing this special time together, it was Just Right.
