Apptio Campaign for The Zoë Foundation

Kim Hammonds, an Apptio customer, and advisory board member has played a key role in Apptio’s success over the years. Kim was the CIO of Boeing and CIO and COO of Deutsche Bank AG. Several years ago, Kim started The Zoe Foundation (named after her daughter) following her own battle with cancer. Her idea for the foundation came from an experience she had working with an art student at The University of Michigan Cancer Center during her 6-8 hour treatments of chemotherapy.
The goal of The Zoe Foundation is to give cancer patients (like Kim) something to look forward to before entering a very mentally challenging treatment regime: providing hope, purpose and positive energy through art. The foundation provides funding to secure artists, purchase art supplies, frame patient artwork, hold art exhibitions at the cancer centers, conduct art workshops and most importantly, give each cancer patient positive memories of something they created during this challenging time.
Recently, Kim has begun her second battle with metastatic breast cancer and is more determined than ever to continue to make a difference for even more cancer patients. She has a major initiative to raise $5 million by the end of the year during The Zoe Foundation fundraising event in San Francisco this October.
Kim would love your support to expand and provide The Zoe Foundation art programs to more Cancer Centers. Apptio has set a goal of raising $100k towards Kim's efforts by the end of November, with CEO Sunny Gupta pledging to match up to $25k. Please join Sunny, and the Apptio Executive Leadership Team, in giving back to someone who has given so much to us.
