John Turk is blessed to have had an extroidinary musical career weaved with friends and family that have made the tapestry of his story what it is today. John has had a long history in the blues and jazz scene here in the Bay Area with his band, John TURK and the 3rd St Annexx band, oand finally leading the music ministry at Glide memorial church for over 35 years and had played at Scott’s Jack London square for over 12 years.
There is story after story of how John encouraged artist after artist to take the bull by the horns and tell your story through your music.
Those that know John are aware that he has had major health challenges over the past 6 or so years and has not been able to play music as a profession for over a year now.
John is a strong willed man and has a very strong network of friends and family that love and care for him. It is this group of friends that want to show their appreciation to John and let him know that he made a difference in their lives and continues to do just that .
He is still working with Oakland Health and wellness try to get stronger with physical therapy and occupational therapy. Thank you for you love and support of our JT.
