Appreciate Felix on his retirement

Hello, my name is Jorge Blanco. I am a Summit, New Jersey resident.

We moved into our new home a year ago. Felix Chaparro, our postal carrier, was the first person that we met. He made it a point to introduce himself, and make himself available to assist with any USPS-related matters. His offer could have been mere pleasantry. It was not.

Felix has consistently made good on his offer. He is reliable, friendly, and kind. Our dog, Annie, anxiously awaits his arrival every evening. She knows his name. She knows his truck. She knows the sound of the mail slot when he is finally here. She knows that he always leaves a treat. A small gesture that shows much about the type of person that he is.

As I meet more of my neighbors, I have come to find out that our experience is not unique.

Felix is retiring at the end of June. We want to show our appreciation.
