Send Alex 30 Feet Under - Summer Aquanaut Adventure!

Hi, my name is Alex Martin and I love deep water, confined spaces and adventures that require technical training. So when Beth Mund of STORIES of Space invited me to join her MISSION 05 crew and spend three days in an underwater habitat in Key Largo as part of an "analog astronaut" style mission, I was all for it.

Although I'm a certified Master SCUBA diver, I've never lived underwater... and I imagine it to be a lot like living and working in space - just about as expensive as it is dangerous and exciting!

So that's why I'm asking for your help. Three days at Jules' Undersea Lodge is not exactly cheap... and there are travel expenses, safety equipment, gear for scientific tests and, most importantly, video production equipment to pay for... well I could really use your help.

Your donations will go toward allowing our team of four to make the journey to Key Largo and to the habitat at Jules' and collect the stories... first of the viewers and supporters of the STORIES of Space non-profit organization and then our own stories of what it's like living and working in an environment very much like a space station.

I've never asked for money before... I even paid to go to Antarctica last year on my own dime... but this is a bit more than I can do alone so I humbly and gratefully ask for your support.

For your contribution of $10 or more, I'll name-check you in our live broadcasts from the habitat and thank you on my social media and on my website. For $100 or more, you can ask a question for our live stream and I'll send you a mission sticker. For $500 or more, I'll throw in a stitched mission patch and we'll get you on a live stream. For $1000, I'll put your business or organization's logo on the media I produce and talk up what you're doing... especially if it involves oceanographic or space exploration.

And if you would prefer to sponsor me with in-kind contributions like SCUBA gear, ready-prep meals, personal hygiene supplies (I imagine Dude Wipes and earplugs will be quite popular), I'm sure we can work out a deal for that as well.

And if you really want to get involved, like for some undisclosed amount that I just can't say no to, how about I meet you somewhere along the way from Las Vegas to Key Largo and you can be a part of the story yourself.
