Hello, I have volunteered at Appledown Dog Rescue for 4 years and have seen first hand the fantastic work they do. At times they have had over 100 dogs, most of whom have come in as strays. Some of the cases are absolutely heartbreaking. 
I am running the Abingdon Marathon on 22nd October to raise money for this brilliant rescue.
Running 26.2 miles hurts, but I will be inspired every step by the beautiful dogs who have had the benefit of the love and care of Appledown and for those to come.
I am photographed here with Karaoke, who was a long time resident at Appledown. She passed away recently and I love and miss her very much. I am dedicating this run to her. Appledown were the only humans that didn’t fail her and nor will I. ♥️♥️
