We are seeking compassionate financial support for Reverend Akuila Yabaki, a highly respected Fijian human rights advocate, Methodist clergyman, and former Executive Director of the Citizens Constitutional Forum (CCF).

Reverend Yabaki has devoted decades of faithful service to the people of Fiji—both in Christian ministry and in public life. He served the Methodist Church in Fiji, including a period of ministry at Shepherds Bush Methodist Church, where his pastoral heart, biblical conviction, and concern for people were deeply evident.

Beyond the pulpit, Reverend Yabaki is widely known as a principled advocate for good governance, respect for the rule of law, and democratic accountability. During his tenure as Executive Director of CCF, he became a courageous voice for the vulnerable, marginalised, and those living on the outskirts of society, often speaking with wisdom and restraint in complex and challenging political contexts. His leadership has earned him enduring respect across civil society, faith communities, and the wider public.

Urgent Medical Need

Reverend Yabaki now urgently requires hip replacement surgery to address a serious medical condition that has significantly impaired his mobility and quality of life. Without this surgery, his condition is expected to worsen, further limiting his independence and daily functioning.

The combined costs of surgery, hospital care, medication, and post-operative rehabilitation are well beyond what his family can meet on their own.
