My name is Mohammad Rahman.

Since 2021 i have been building fresh water wells via Fresh Water Foundation in Bangladesh, Sylhet, Pirojpur & Shyamnagar district near the Sundarbans.

There are 117 families living on the riverbank in Patakhali Village, Padampukur Union, Shyamnagar Upazilla, Sathkira, Bangladesh.

This Mosque will be raised at least one meter, and will include a deepwell for fresh water, a bathing area (pukur) , toilets, abalation facilities.

This mosque will also serve as a temporary shelter from floods & storms for the locals.

Not only a place of worship, but also a place for children to get education, locals to have a place of shelter and gather.

There is a local village committee already in place to ensure local donations for day to day upkeep and facilities to be maintained.

The village economy is sustained from small boat fishing and supplemented by small seasonal garden patches of vegetables.
