Appeal against Pine Valley North Development

Hi,

My name is Kirsten and I am writing to you on behalf of a growing group of local community members to stand up to our council and developers.

Early September the Moreton Bay Council voted to approve YET ANOTHER high-density development (Pine Valley North). There were over 100 submissions that formally OBJECTED and a petition gained over 600 signatures (we believe the most signatures in Moreton Bay ever, against a development), yet our voices were once more ignored by our own council.

We are launching a formal legal appeal to the courts as the development is NOT in keeping with the local neighbourhood and will cause significant increases in traffic chaos, pollution, crime and continue the mind-less destruction of our environment and wildlife including koala's.

By appealing the decision we will arm ourselves to negotiate better outcomes for the benefit of the ENTIRE local community, including animals who can't stand up for themselves.

But we need your help to assist with some of the costs and we'll be very appreciative of anything that you can give.

Most importantly our action isn't just about us or even this particular development. It is about standing up to all our elected representatives and reminding them that they work for us ! It is also about protecting ALL our communities for the benefit of our children and all future generations. If we don't do this - no one else will !
