Hey family and friends,
Thank you for taking the time out to open this, I know it's an extremely stressful time. I hope you are all staying safe and well and eating your vegetables.
As some of you may know, dad is going in for surgery this Thursday, to finally fix his brain. He was supposed to have the surgery earlier this year, but with everything happening it was postponed. It comes a shock to me as well that yes, he does have a brain.
Just a wee bit of info on why he is having surgery, he has Trigeminal Neuralgia, which is a sudden, severe pain that shoots through the nerve at the back of his brain, causing unpredictable attacks, and extreme levels of pain. His condition has worsened over the years, and now relies on taking heavy medication throughout the day. Fortunately, with lots of help from specialists and a fantastic wife that has done everything she possibly can, all paths have been taken and the surgery is now absolutely necessary.
This is a super weird time for us all, and I know we have all felt pretty helpless, in so many situations, so I thought I might just try raise a few coins for him, as me or James can't be there. The surgery is covered, my goal is just to provide a bit more support for mum and dad in the recovery time, as he has to take 6 weeks unpaid.
Again, I realise this this is a hard time for everyone, just thought Id reach out and do what I can. Please send him stupid videos, or any kind of random shit, coz trust me, he will laugh.
PS - Mum and dad don't know I'm doing this, act cool :)
