Hi! My name is Appa! I'm a 6 year old Siberian Husky. Before mom and dad adopted me from a local rescue, I was in a very rough situation. I was abandoned, chained to a tree, starving, and heartworm positive. I tried for months to free myself and broke my teeth in the process. I didnt know what it was like to be loved and I was scared. Soon after being rescue, mom and dad fell in love with me! They showed me what it truely means to be apart of a family and always shower me with endless love. Mom and dad take me on regular adventures to parks and hiking trails, where dad throws the best balls to chase.  I've been with them for two years now (2018), going on three in July. 

This Tuesday (March 29),  I felt really tired. Mom picked up on it immediately and took me to the vet. Little did she know I had a GI bleed from an unknown source. I am currently staying overnight at the Vet ER, where I am receiving blood transfusions, protonics, and a thing called carafate.  

The doctors still don't know what is causing it. They speculate that it could be a bleeding ulcer located along the GI Track. However additional test are required. And if the bleeding doesnt stop I will need additional blood transfusions and to stay at the hospital even longer. 

Mom and dad keep reminding me they are doing everything they can to make me comfortable and for me to feel better, but they have been struggling financially since covid shut everything down. 

Mom and dad know I have a lot of life and love left to give! They aren't willing to give up on me. They want to give me the best fighting chance. I would really like to chase a ball with dad again and snuggle with mom on the couch.
