My name is Carla Alvarado, and I am organizing this fundraiser to support my dear friend Alessandra De La Correia and her family after the devastating earthquake in Venezuela.

Although Alessandra currently lives in Vienna, Austria, many of her closest family members lived in La Guaira, Venezuela, one of the areas hardest hit by the earthquake. The beneficiaries of this fundraiser are her family members in Venezuela, who were directly affected by the disaster.

The De La Correia family has suffered unimaginable losses. Alessandra's grandmother, Maria Pestana, lost her life in the earthquake. Her cousin, Claudia De La Correia, also passed away.

Alessandra's uncle, Eloy De La Correia Pestana, lost his mother, his daughter Claudia, and his home. Alessandra's father, Jose Tito De La Correia Pestana, also lost his mother. In addition, Jose Tito, his wife Rossana, and their son Sergio lost their home and the family businesses that had supported them for many years. Tragically, those businesses were looted just hours after the earthquake.

In a matter of hours, this family lost loved ones, their homes, their financial stability, and much of what they had spent a lifetime building.

After losing their homes in La Guaira, several members of the family were forced to relocate to Caracas, where they are now trying to rebuild their lives while coping with profound grief and uncertainty.

The funds raised through this campaign will be used by the affected family members in Venezuela to help cover temporary housing, food, transportation, essential supplies, household necessities, and other urgent expenses resulting from this tragedy.

No amount of money can bring back Maria and Claudia or erase the pain this family is experiencing. But together, we can help ease some of their burdens and remind them that they are not alone.

Mi nombre es Carla Alvarado y estoy organizando esta campaña para ayudar a mi querida amiga Alessandra De La Correia y a su familia tras el devastador terremoto ocurrido en Venezuela.

Aunque Alessandra vive actualmente en Viena, Austria, muchos de sus familiares más cercanos vivían en La Guaira, Venezuela, una de las zonas más afectadas por el terremoto. Los beneficiarios de esta campaña son sus familiares en Venezuela, quienes fueron directamente afectados por la tragedia.

La familia De La Correia ha sufrido pérdidas inimaginables. La abuela de Alessandra, María Pestana, falleció como consecuencia del terremoto. Su prima, Claudia De La Correia, también perdió la vida.

El tío de Alessandra, Eloy De La Correia Pestana, perdió a su madre, a su hija Claudia y también su hogar. El padre de Alessandra, Jose Tito De La Correia Pestana, también perdió a su madre. Además, Jose Tito, su esposa Rossana y su hijo Sergio perdieron su casa y los negocios familiares que durante años fueron su principal fuente de sustento. Trágicamente, estos negocios fueron saqueados pocas horas después del terremoto.

En cuestión de horas, esta familia perdió seres queridos, sus hogares, su estabilidad económica y gran parte de lo que había construido durante toda una vida.

Tras perder sus viviendas en La Guaira, varios miembros de la familia se vieron obligados a trasladarse a Caracas, donde hoy intentan reconstruir sus vidas mientras enfrentan un profundo duelo y una enorme incertidumbre.

Los fondos recaudados a través de esta campaña serán utilizados por los familiares afectados en Venezuela para cubrir gastos urgentes como vivienda temporal, alimentación, transporte, artículos esenciales, necesidades del hogar y otros gastos derivados de esta tragedia.

Ninguna cantidad de dinero puede devolverles a María y Claudia ni aliviar por completo el dolor que están viviendo. Pero juntos podemos ayudar a reducir algunas de las cargas que enfrentan y demostrarles que no están solos.
