Con gran pesar, les pedimos su ayuda para recaudar $6,000 para los gastos funerarios de nuestro querido Hugo Camarillo, el espíritu brillante que animaba cada reunión con música y baile.

Hugo fue uno de ocho hermanos y el primero que perdimos desde que nuestro abuelo falleció hace una década. Tras emigrar de Ascensión, Chihuahua, México, a Albuquerque hace más de 20 años, construyó una hermosa vida con su esposa y sus dos hijos pequeños. También deja atrás a cuatro hijos adultos: tres hijos y una hija muy trabajadores, junto con nietos en México a quienes nunca tuvo la oportunidad de conocer.

Durante los últimos dos años, Hugo luchó valientemente en coma mientras su esposa lo cuidaba en casa, y nuestra familia lo visitaba siempre que podíamos. El mayor dolor de nuestra abuela es que la distancia le impidió ver a su hijo antes de su fallecimiento.

Hugo siempre fue el primero en echar una mano cuando lo necesitábamos, así que ahora esperamos honrarlo con la despedida que se merece. Cualquier contribución, sin importar cuanto, se destinará directamente a los gastos funerarios y de entierro, y será muy importante para nuestra familia.

With heavy hearts, we’re asking for your help to raise $6,000 for funeral expenses for our beloved Hugo Camarillo, the bright spirit who kept every gathering alive with music and dancing.

Hugo was one of eight siblings and the first we’ve lost since our grandfather passed a decade ago. After immigrating from Ascensión, Chihuahua, Mexico to Albuquerque more than 20 years ago, he built a beautiful life with his wife and their two young boys. He also leaves behind four adult children—three hardworking sons and a daughter—along with grandchildren in Mexico that he never had the chance to meet.

For the past two years, Hugo fought bravely in a coma while his wife cared for him at home, and our family visited whenever we could. Our grandmother’s deepest sorrow is that distance kept her from seeing her son before he passed.

Hugo was always the first to lend a hand when we needed him—so now we’re hoping to honor him with the farewell he deserves. Any contribution, no matter the size, will go directly toward funeral and burial costs and will mean the world to our family.
