Hola soy Maria Romero mamá de Samary

Nuestra vida cambió por completo hace unos años, cuando mi hija Samary comenzó una dura batalla por su salud. Ella tiene 15 años, pero quienes la conocen saben que es una niña inocente, amorosa y llena de luz.

Samary ha luchado durante años contra un tumor en el cerebro. Ha pasado por dos cirugías muy difíciles, y aun así el tumor sigue ahí, dejándole una condición médica que nos mantiene constantemente entrando y saliendo del hospital.

Para mí, como mamá soltera de cinco hijos, esta situación ha sido extremadamente difícil. Tengo que dividirme entre el cuidado de Samary y mis otros hijos, tratando de ser fuerte para todos mientras enfrentamos esta realidad.

Hace apenas dos semanas, nuestra vida volvió a ponerse de cabeza con un nuevo diagnóstico: leucemia. Desde entonces, han sido días llenos de estudios, tratamientos y el inicio de sus quimioterapias. Su estado de salud no me ha permitido salir del hospital, y cada día es un nuevo reto.

A pesar de todo, Samary sigue luchando con una fortaleza increíble. Su sonrisa, incluso en los momentos más difíciles, es lo que me da fuerzas para seguir adelante.

Hoy acudimos a ustedes con el corazón en la mano.

Cualquier apoyo, por pequeño que sea, hace una gran diferencia.

Hello, I’m Maria Romero, Samary’s mom.

Our lives changed completely a few years ago when my daughter, Samary, began a tough battle for her health. She is 15 years old, but anyone who knows her knows that she is an innocent, loving girl full of light.

Samary has been fighting a brain tumor for years. She has undergone two very difficult surgeries, yet the tumor remains—leaving her with a medical condition that keeps us constantly in and out of the hospital.

For me, as a single mother of five children, this situation has been extremely difficult. I have to divide my time between caring for Samary and caring for my other children, trying to stay strong for everyone as we face this reality.

Just two weeks ago, our lives were turned upside down once again by a new diagnosis: leukemia. Since then, the days have been filled with medical tests, treatments, and the start of her chemotherapy. Her medical condition has made it impossible for me to leave the hospital, and every day presents a new challenge.

Despite everything, Samary continues to fight with incredible strength. Her smile—even during the hardest moments—is what gives me the strength to keep going.

Today, we turn to you with our hearts in our hands.
