Christine y Antonia son una pareja de mujeres apasionadas defensoras y activistas por la naturaleza.

Ellas habitan en un sector rural cercano a la ciudad de Valdivia, Chile. Donde llevan más de 18 años trabajando desde la permacultura por una vida autosuficiente, en este territorio se están protegiendo hectáreas de selva valdiviana las que son un refugio de ranitas nativas en un territorio rodeado de monocultivo de Eucaliptus.

Son guardianas de semillas, apicultoras, bio constructoras. Reciben cada temporada a muchos voluntarios de distintos países para transmitir los saberes que han adquirido al practicar de estos oficios y para inspirar el nacimiento de nuevas ecoaldeas.

Con mucho trabajo y esfuerzo han levantado una casa hermosa que el pasado domingo 25 de mayo a las 3.30 am ha quedado en cenizas producto de un incendio fulminante, dejando a Christine y Antonia con lo puesto y con quemaduras de primer grado en sus rostros, la verdad es que es un milagro que estén vivas.

Desde ese mismo día se ha activado la inmensa red de obrer@s para trabajar en la contención y recuperación de nuestras amigas.

Somos muchos alrededor del mundo que hemos recibido de su generosidad, hoy es tiempo de colaborarles para que puedan reconstruir su casa y retornar a su amado hogar.

Christine and Antonia are a passionate couple of advocates and activists for nature.

They live in a rural area near the city of Valdivia, Chile, where they have worked for more than 18 years in permaculture dedicated to a self-sufficient life. On their homestead they protect 22 acres of Valdivian rainforest, a refuge for native frogs and other species in a territory surrounded by monocultures of exotic Eucalyptus trees.

They are seed-savers, beekeepers, and bio-constructors. Each season they receive many volunteers from different countries to transmit the knowledge they have acquired and inspire the creation of new ecovillages.

With much work and effort they built a beautiful house that - last Sunday, May 25th at 3.30 am - was left in ashes by a fire. Leaving Christine and Antonia with nothing more than the clothes on their backs and first degree burns on their faces. It is a miracle that they are alive.

Since that day, an inmense network of people has been activated to work in the containment and recovery of our friends.

We are many around the world who have received their generosity, today it is time to collaborate with them so that they can rebuild their house and return to their home.
