Ayúdame a seguir luchando por mi vida

Mi nombre es Carmen y quiero contarte mi historia.

En noviembre de 2023, me diagnosticaron un tumor cerebral llamado meningioma petroclival derecho. Desde entonces, he enfrentado uno de los mayores desafíos de mi vida.

Entre febrero y marzo de 2024 fui sometida a tres cirugías. Aunque los médicos lograron remover parte del tumor, durante la operación mi corazón se detuvo y mi cerebro sufrió una inflamación severa, por lo que no pudieron terminar de retirar el tumor completamente.

Hoy mi salud sigue en riesgo. Estoy presentando nuevas complicaciones neurológicas y necesito una nueva cirugía urgente. Lamentablemente, en el sistema público de salud el tiempo de espera es demasiado largo, y ese retraso podría causarme daño cerebral irreversible.

Por ese motivo, estamos buscando atención en el sector privado. Sin embargo, los altos costos de hospitalización, equipo médico, especialistas y todo lo necesario para la operación y mi recuperación superan por completo los recursos de mi familia.

Este camino ha sido largo, pero no pierdo la esperanza. Quiero vivir, quiero recuperar mi salud y seguir adelante. Por eso, hoy te pido tu ayuda.

My name is Carmen, and I want to tell you my story.

In November 2023, I was diagnosed with a brain tumor known as petroclival meningioma, located on the right side of my brain. Since then, I have faced one of the greatest challenges of my life.

Between February and March 2024, I underwent three surgeries. Although the doctors were able to remove part of the tumor, during the surgery, my heart stopped, and my brain experienced severe swelling, which prevented them from fully removing the tumor.

Today, my health is still at risk. I am facing new neurological complications and urgently need another surgery. Unfortunately, the waiting time in the public health system is too long, and this delay could lead to irreversible brain damage.

For this reason, we are seeking care in the private sector. However, the high costs of hospitalization, medical equipment, specialists, and everything necessary for the operation and my recovery completely exceed my family's resources.

This has been a long road, but I have not lost hope. I want to live, I want to recover my health and move forward. That's why today I'm asking for your help.
