Apollo's Urgent Surgery: We Need Your Help

Hi everyone,

This is one of the hardest things I’ve had to write, but I’m reaching out with hope and love for our sweet dog Apollo. He is not just a pet. He is our baby, our shadow, our comfort on hard days, and our joy on the good ones.

A few days ago, we noticed something was terribly wrong. Apollo started peeing large amounts of visible blood, and we rushed him to the vet. After tests and imaging, we were told he has a painful bladder stone that needs to be removed through a cystotomy. The vet also found that his prostate is enlarged, so he will need to be neutered during the same procedure to help relieve the pressure and prevent future complications.

The surgery is urgent and necessary, but it comes with a cost we simply cannot afford right now. We are doing everything we can, but we’ve hit a wall and need help from our friends, family, and community.

Esto es una de las cosas más difíciles que he tenido que escribir, pero lo hago con esperanza y con mucho amor por nuestro perrito Apollo. No es solo una mascota. Es nuestro bebé, nuestra sombra, nuestro consuelo en los días difíciles y nuestra alegría en los buenos.

Hace unos días notamos que algo no estaba bien. Apollo comenzó a orinar con grandes cantidades de sangre visible, así que lo llevamos de urgencia al veterinario. Luego de varios exámenes, nos dijeron que tiene una piedra en la vejiga que le está causando mucho dolor y que necesita ser removida mediante una cistotomía. También descubrieron que tiene la próstata agrandada, por lo que necesita ser castrado durante la misma cirugía para aliviar la presión y evitar complicaciones futuras.

La cirugía es urgente y necesaria, pero tiene un costo que en este momento no podemos cubrir. Estamos haciendo todo lo posible, pero hemos llegado a un punto en el que necesitamos ayuda de nuestros amigos, familiares y comunidad.
