Help Apollo get back on his feet.
Hello! My name is Paul Amann and I'm the proud furdad of Apollo, a 9 year old Weimaraner/Lab mix. He's a good boy who loves chasing rabbits and lizards in his backyard and gnawing on bullysticks while watching out the window. He's also a service dog! My family and I are deaf and he does a wonderful job of notifying us of who's at the door or even about! He knows sign language too so he's bilingual
Just recently, Apollo was out in the yard sniffing around and apparently found something to chase. He came back limping a little bit, what I thought was a bad sprain turned out to be a fracture of the carpal bone in his "wrist." The vet said that his bone break was unusual in its location, because the bone that fractured is attached to a tendon. Without proper attention and care, he won't be able to bend his wrist and might not be able to walk/run.
A dog is family and family is everything. So he's scheduled for surgery as soon as possible. However, that's where the issue arises. His total vet bill for surgery will cost 5,425 dollars. That's a hefty fee to carry alone, and I'm not able to cover all of that right at this moment. I'm not one to ask for money, and I do feel humbled writing this, but I would do anything for my Apollo boy. Any small amount that you could donate would go towards giving Apollo the freedom to walk and run as he loves to do. Thank you sincerely in advance.
