I normally would never ask for this kind of help but late Tuesday night Apollo was found on the porch tongue out barely moving and unable to walk. Lennie rushed him to Pet emergency where we had to pay 1000$ and they do not accept payment plans. After lots of overnight monitoring and IVs trying to flush his system, they believe he got into barbiturates, which is hard to understand because he was outside, and no one in the family is on any type of medication like that. The Vet is now saying that he could have ate an animal that had been euthanized and not properly hurried. They are trying everything possible that they can to keep him alive. His blood pressure and breathing is normal and his blood work came back fine but his oxygen is lower than they would like. They want him to stay for an additional 24 hours which is going to cost from $5000-$6000 for scans and monitoring which we do not have out of pocket right now.
