In July 2027, the Apollo High School Class of 1977 will celebrate an incredible milestone—our 50th Class Reunion.
The reunion committee has secured three special events for the weekend:
• Friday, July 30, 2027 – An informal gathering at the Eagles Club in St. Cloud
• Saturday, July 31, 2027 – A tour of Apollo High School
• Saturday, July 31, 2027 – A reunion dinner and program at The Park Event Center in Waite Park
As we planned this celebration, we faced two challenges. First, the cost of hosting a reunion has increased significantly over the years. Second, we worried that some classmates might choose not to attend because of the cost.
So the committee asked a simple question:
What if we could make the Saturday evening reunion dinner free for every Apollo '77 classmate?
After reviewing the event costs, we learned that the majority of expenses are fixed regardless of whether 150 or 300 classmates attend. That means raising funds in advance could allow us to eliminate or significantly reduce the cost of attendance while encouraging the highest possible participation.
Our goal is to raise $15,000.
If we reach that goal, the committee intends to offer the Saturday evening reunion dinner and program at no charge to all Apollo Class of 1977 classmates. Reaching this goal would allow more classmates to attend, reconnect, and celebrate together after fifty years.
This is not about paying more so someone else can pay less. It is about creating an opportunity for as many classmates as possible to participate in this once-in-a-lifetime celebration.
