aplication for residency

I am an immigrant MD international medical graduate. I passed a necessary exam (the USMLE) in the US. I need to apply for residency. The applications cost a lot of money. (Please see https://www.aamc.org/services/eras/)
In 2016-2017-2018, I spent nearly $4,000 each year applying to as many places as I was able, but it was not enough. I was not able to find any residency.
This is the only way for me to start a job since I do not have a working visa and need to find a residency first.
I am an older man, I graduated in 1988 and I have experience in 3 countries, so time is critical.
I have worked and saved for my entire life since I was 16 years old. Unfortunately, I made an investment through my bank which resulted in me completely losing my life’s savings.
I spent a lot of money taking all of the tests and the other preparations. Today I have found myself very short. I believe that applying for residency in more places will give me a better chance to get my life back together and put an end to the misery.
Reaching my goal will enable me to submit many more applications to find a residency.
