Support Alejandro's Fight for Recovery
Donation protected
My name is Adriana Moreno, and I'm creating this campaign for my beloved brother, Dr. Alejandro Moreno, a 60-year-old General and Occupational Health Doctor from Bogotá, Colombia.
For over 35 years, Alejandro has dedicated his life to healing others—often working long hours, putting the well-being of his patients above his own. As a husband and father of two sons, he has always shown unwavering strength, compassion, and humility. Ironically—and heartbreakingly—this very man, who guided countless patients through physical recovery and occupational health, now finds himself in urgent need of the same care he once provided.
A year ago, Alejandro was diagnosed with Cervical and lumbar disc disorder complicated by degenerative cervical myelopathy. Despite a costly surgery in March 2025, damage to his spinal cord proved severe and irreversible. Today, he cannot walk or use his hands and arms. He is dependent on a nurse 24/7 and needs extensive physical, occupational, and speech therapy just to preserve his remaining functions and quality of life.
Private health insurance has reached its limit. The family's savings have been completely exhausted. As his sister, I feel helpless watching the person I admire most struggle—physically, emotionally, and financially.
We are now humbly reaching out for support. Your donation will help cover the high cost of Alejandro’s daily medical care, therapy, medical equipment, and home adjustments. No amount is too small, and every contribution brings us closer to giving Alejandro the chance to regain a measure of independence, dignity, and hope.
If you've ever been touched by the care of a dedicated doctor or simply believe in standing by those who’ve spent their lives lifting others, please consider supporting Alejandro. And even if you're unable to give, sharing this campaign within your network would mean the world to us.
Thank you for reading, for caring, and for helping us carry Alejandro through this uphill path.
