Hi my name is Abosede

I am desperately trying to raise funds to help my daughter with her battle to fight endometriosis.

She is a promising student who has always worked hard since she was very small to achieve the goals she set for herself.

Excited about life and a career in the world of Arts and Fashion, she is a creative and loving soul

We discovered at 16 that something was wrong every month her periods were really heavy and very painful and extremely debilitating, leaving her unable to do hardly anything. We have seen Gp after Gp over the years they’ve given her all kinds of medicine which has not been helpful. Some have caused her a lot of harm destroying her stomach lining and making things generally worse.

Six years on we’re still waiting on the NHS to at least do an MRI and give us a conclusive diagnosis.

Meanwhile she is crippled in pain. It used to be once a month for maybe a week then it became once a month for like two weeks. We have reached the stage where she is in pain every single day throughout the day pain .

I can only describe her pain as being in labour and never giving birth.

She is wrecked with pain and still tries to continue at university even though this first semester in her second year she wasn’t able to attend because every day she was too ill in too much pain in tears every day.

She wants to give up she feels , like her life has been snatched away from her. She asked why her body treats her like this.

She’s about to take all of her Student Loan to pay for treatment because she cannot even focus and I as her mother ,even though I work ,I do not have that money available to help her. It makes me sad. I want to cry I have nothing to sell. I don’t know what to do and I cannot watch my child suffer like this. I have reached out to Family, but they don’t really understand they think it’s just painful periods but this is not just a painful period this is so much more and I fear for her well-being , I fear for her outcome she doesn’t go out she doesn’t socialise.

She doesn’t do the things at a normal 22 year-old would do she stays in her room all by herself curled up on her heated under the blanket and covered with her heated over blanket to help ease off the pain.

I am making this appeal for help because I don’t know what next to do , I feel like I have failed her and I’m hoping that out there is someone will understand and someone will help a young woman to restore her life and her confidence by helping her assisting her to receive the treatment that she needs. we’ve worked with the NHS for six years patiently waiting and we are no closer to getting a formal diagnosis and a treatment plan than we were six years ago when she was 16 and meanwhile she’s just getting worse every single day

She’s scared that she’ll be taken off of her course and cannot even attend University which means everything to her.

I’m asking that at this time help can be received as it will be truly appreciated and utilised to make sure that she receives all the treatment that she needs to help her rebuild her life and to go forward in the future .

Any funds received will go directly towards paying for her consultation with a gynaecologist specialising in the treatment for endometriosis. It will pay for the tests and scans that are required to make a diagnosis and gain an insight into how far it has spread. It will be used to provide a treatment plan and to support her day to day pain management.
