Apex Outfitters Raleigh Support Fundraiser
Donation protected
Saturday afternoon began as a unification of the people with a powerful and peaceful protest in the heart of Downtown Raleigh. Protesters gathered to bring awareness to the severe racial injustice that exists in our country. As the peaceful protesters disbanded, late in the evening looters hit the streets and began to wreak havoc on downtown buildings, breaking glass, starting fires and destroying businesses.
The Denis family, long time Apex residents and owners of Apex Outfitters fought for their business late in the evening, alongside a handful of protesters who stayed behind to stand up to those who came down with the purpose of discord and destruction. Despite their attempts to keep the destructive masses at bay their business was overwhelmed with windows shattered and goods stolen.
The protest in honor of George Floyd was a community in action, raising one another up. We ask that our community come together now, to support a family in our community whose business has suffered a significant loss in the wake of these vandals and trespassers.
