Upenn APES Supports Highland Park Victims

Tax deductible
For many of us, the 4th of July is usually a special day off, filled with celebration, family, and friends. This year, however, Independence Day was a terrifying reminder of the evil intentions harbored by some Americans and the persistent problem of systemic gun violence in the United States. The mass shooting in Highland Park, Illinois, was particularly disturbing for many members of our fraternity due to deep connections to friends and loved ones who live in that area. Sitting by and reading the news was simply not enough. As such, we feel it is our duty to act to help the Highland Park community in any way we can. After reviewing the available avenues for donation, we've decided that all money raised from this campaign will be directly sent to the Highland Park Community Foundation, which is rerouting funds to victims, survivors, and local support networks. Please join us in giving what you can to help repair the Highland Park community. All donations will be impactful; thank you in advance for your support. #HPStrong
