When we started our beloved project, Aperitivo Stockholm, we wanted to bring a part of Italy to Stockholm. We wanted to spread the happiness and social closeness that is typical of our culture, in the Nordics.

This fun project took us far, made us all smile through dark days of winter and pop countless bottles of prosecco together. It was magical to have a piece of Italy in Stockholm.

Now, it is time for us to return a favour to our country.

Most countries around the world are experiencing travel restrictions and many people are in a social lock-down. In Italy, one of the most severely hit countries, the situation has worsened in the last weeks.

As expats in a foreign country, our thoughts bring us closer to everyone who’s having a hard moment in our home country.

Italian doctors and scientists, first in line in this fight, are doing a very important job and we would like to support concretely by fundraising and donating money to Research and Public Healthcare. This is as much donation to Italy as well as it is a donation to the international scientific community.

It may save a life in Italy today, it may save a life elsewhere tomorrow.

The money we fundraise through this campaign will go to Hospital Papa Giovanni XXIII in Bergamo, one of the hospitals located in the Italian’s COVID-19 outbreak epicentre.
