APD K9 Fund
Donation protected
The Anderson Police Department K9 unit is currently, and always, accepting donations for our K9 fund. These donations go towards the purchasing of new K9 partners and also all the necessary equipment.
K9 Haris is retiring in the spring of 2025. Haris has served the department for nearly a decade. Haris was initially partnered with Detective Jarrrett for 5 years and he has now been with Officer Todd since 2022.
We are still mourning the loss of K9 Harry who had to be put to rest on January 10th, 2023, after a battle with a cancerous bone tumor in his right leg. Harry was a Dutch Shepherd who specialized in explosives, tracking, and apprehensions. He was deployed 161 times throughout his career with the Anderson Police Department. “Harry was a great partner and loved working the streets of Anderson. He always enjoyed interacting with the public and showcasing his abilities in front of an audience.” Thanks to your previous donations we purchased K9 Szeryf in 2023.
The members of the Anderson Police Department K9 unit are thankful for your support. The K9 Division will be purchasing another Dual-Purpose K9 in the coming months.
