Hi, my name is Brystin Fleetwood and I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in September of 2012.

Type 1 Diabetes is a Lifelong, Life Threatening Disease that was triggered by a typical childhood virus.

In addition to food, many things affect my blood sugar levels, including stress, excitement, illness, hormones and physical activity.

If my blood sugar level goes too low I could pass out, have a seizure, go into a coma or even die.  If my blood sugar level goes too high it will cause long-term damage to many of my organs, which would lessen my quality of life or even shorten my life span.  Therefore, it’s a daily struggle for me to keep my blood sugar level balanced.  The only way I can do this is by pricking my finger multiple times a day to check my blood sugar.  Unfortunately, in any amount of time, my blood sugar could unexpectedly drop to dangerously low levels.  I am desperately in need of a Diabetes Alert Service Dog who could help me balance my blood sugar levels and could ultimately SAVE MY LIFE!!


I would be forever grateful if you would help me reach my goal!!  My life depends on it!!
