Apartment hit by a tornado

My name is Meagan Moynihan, single mother of 2 amazing kids. Yesterday our home was hit by a Tornado and is completely destroyed. It was a very traumatizing experience for me and my son Jordan who was with me. We had both fell asleep in our living room from watching a movie and got woken up to crazy wind and all our stuff flying everywhere, I could hear our apartment building getting ripped apart. Thank God I reacted quickly enough and was able to drag him up and get us into the bathtub. Words can't explain how scary it was to go through something like that especially having your child with you. As of right now I am not sure where we are going to be living I am still waiting to hear from resources but when the time comes to move I will need to start over and buy all new everything. I am currently in a hotel for the moment. Whatever was left Inside I'm not allowed to access because the structure isn't safe, hours after we got hit our ceiling was still collapsing. I know it is hard times for everybody right now but if there is any way to help no matter the amount it is appreciated more than you know by me and my kids. The funds will be used for us to get back on our feet again whenever we find more information on where to go. We are NOT approved for FEMA because we were not declared to have Disaster Relief from the state so we ARE ON OUR OWN to start over. I had to take time out of work to handle the situation and need any help I can get to get Into a new place for me and my kids ♥ Thank you so much, we are grateful to be alive and be here to tell our story.
