Apartment Complex Will not Provide Shelter

My name is Jeremy Sturdivant ( Mr.Jay).

I currently live in Atlanta Ga. For Christmas, my family and I went to the cabins in Tennessee to celebrate our Christmas together. Christmas night we received a phone call that our apartment flooded. We became devastated not knowing the extent of the damage. When we returned back home on December 28, 2022, we were told that the bad weather caused the apartment above ours water heater and pipes to burst. The ceiling of my apartment collapsed and destroyed everything in my house. The flood has damaged all of our clothes, shoes, furniture, TVs, etc.

Now, the apartment complex is saying they can not accommodate me, find me anywhere to stay, or even move us to a different apartment until they fix ours. The apartment complex says they only can fixed the structure of the apartment and aren’t responsible for anything personal we may have lost during this situation. We have no family here in Atlanta and nowhere to go in the mean time. School starts back next week and I don’t have anywhere for my kids to live. If you can donate anything, we will greatly appreciate it. Thank you in advance.
