Apache Medicine Man Needs Help

Hi, my name is Linda Joyce and I’m fundraising for Glenn Burnette. He is a medicine man of the Bear Clan, Apache tribe, in the White Mountains of Arizona. His brother, Harris, was one of the greatest Medicine Men of modern times. He was a storyteller, healer, and keeper of thousands of years of Apache songs and traditions. Glenn, and his brother, Harris, were trained by their father as children to use their powers in both the worldly and spiritual world. The challenge of a medicine man is to bridge the gap between them through ancient ceremonies, prayers, songs, and rituals. My sister Paula and I met Glenn and Harris twenty years ago. They invited us to experience a young girl’s Coming of Age Ceremony. It was powerful and authentic, and its memory has never left me. In 2020 Harris died and his death left a vacancy that only Glenn could fill. Unfortunately, Glen is ill and waiting for a kidney transplant. Too weak to work, his wife, Sadie, has been struggling to support them. After the operation, Glen must stay for four weeks near the hospital, and they don’t have the finances they will need. Unfortunately, until he is well, there is no one to do the hundreds of requests for Apache traditions and ceremonies. One thing I’ve learned about spiritual people, it’s not easy for them to ask for help. This Go Fund Me is to help Glenn get back on his feet before and after his transplant.
