I have started this fundraiser for a very dear friend of my family.  Gloria has been in our lives for what seems like forever.  My sister and Gloria's daughter Lacie have been best friends almost their whole lives.  They've always been there for us and now's our chance to be there for her.
Since the age if 15 Gloria has battled chronic kidney stones and has had multiple surgeries in an attempt to resolve the issue.  Unfortunately, her kidneys are not recouping well from the years of issues and have begun to fail.  Gloria is in Stage 5 kidney failure and on nightly, at home dialysis treatments.  But the doctors say those will only be able to sustain her life for a few years before the treatments will no longer help.  Gloria is in the transplant waiting list and is actively looking for a donor.
These treatments, and a possible transplant surgery, are certainly not something yone expects to have to afford.  Her family, and those of is friends that are like family, are truly appreciative of any thoughts, prayers, or donations to help Gloria win this battle.
