Friday, September 11, 2015 my sister was in a severe car accident around 8:30 pm. We are SO lucky to even have her. She left us in the ambulance and was revived.

Her right ankle was wrapped around the brake of the vehicle causing a break, dislocation and compound fracture of the bone that causes mobility in the foot which required surgery to put back together.
The impact of the seatbelt hit so hard it "exploded" her abdomen, injured parts of her colon and her intestine which needed to be cut out and removed via surgery.
She broke the C7 vertebrae in her neck.
Lungs deflated, contusion on lung, and ribs were broken.
Her left big toe was broken and needed surgery to place back together and currently has a pin inside.

Unfortunately, she has no health insurance and her auto policy will only cover $5,000 which covers the cost of just the ambulance. We are doing what we can to help, but with the staggering medical costs of hospital stay and multiple surgeries, our family can only do so much. This event has turned my family's lives upside down.
