So, the big 3 0 is fast approaching and because 29 turned out to be a bit of a disaster I've never been more ready to become a year older!!

For my 30th I'm hoping to raise some money for Beaumont Hospital, Mayo University Hospital and the Community Neurological Rehab Team in Ballybofey, Donegal.

There's no doubt that the staff in Beaumont Hospital saved my life after my accident last December. After spending 8 days in a coma the staff in Mayo University Hospital looked after me for a month and got me well enough to be able to leave hospital and come home. Since then the Community Neurological Rehab Team in Donegal have been working with me to get life back to normal.

It's extremely daunting to know how much all of these amazing people have done for me and, while I know I'll never be able to repay or thank them enough for this, hopefully raising some money will help them to continue helping other people.

Times are tough for everyone and I don't want anybody to feel under any pressure to donate but the link is here for anyone that would like to.
