From neutral to drive.

Since being married, which is now 1 year and 3 months, we have not had a car. It has gotten to the point where it's making life a little difficult. I know...so many people don't have cars, but with our busy schedules and needs to move around the city it's a real need for us. It's frustrating having to ask the same people to use their car so we can go buy groceries or pay our bills. We also want to be able to go do our ministry without having to rely on other people and their cars. Ivan also doesn't like it if I go by myself on our bike.
We are also trying to be responsible and look into the future and with the possibility of starting a family in the next few years we want to try and buy a car that will sustain us through those times. So we don't want to just buy a cheap, beat up car only to have to search for another one. Additionally, here in Mexico we only have paved roads in the more developed parts. Pot holes, bumps and dirt roads make it hard to have a low riding car. You end up spending more money on fixing your car than its worth. With our work and involvement with the communities in the colonias, we need to be able to drive on harsh roads. 

We do not like asking for money but we know it's part of being missionaries.
