Anzalone Wedding for Take Paws Rescue

We both knew we wanted to adopt a second dog once we moved into a house and began doing research on different rescues in New Orleans. We quickly learned how common it is for dogs to be abused, neglected and abandoned in the south.

 

Soon after moving here, we found Take Paws Rescue that is a foster based rescue which means the dogs are placed in temporary homes until they find their forever family. We went through their application process and ended up adopting Hudson who was abandoned in the middle of Louisiana, most likely due to the fact he had severe hip dysplasia in both hips and needed multiple surgeries.

 

We have both become very involved as volunteers driving around Louisiana picking up strays to bring them into the program, driving dogs to and from their vet appointments, bringing dogs to adoption events and donating towards surgeries for dogs in Take Paws care.

 

In lieu of a bridal shower & wedding gifts, we would greatly appreciate if any of our guests would be open to donating to Take Paws Rescue so they can continue saving the lives of all the dogs that are brought into their care every day.
