If you know me, you know my sidekick, Lily Mae.

She’s been my shadow, my comfort, and my joy. Recently, I noticed subtle changes in her behavior and brought her to the vet, thinking it would be something small. Lily is usually healthy and full of life, so I had no reason to expect otherwise.

After conversations with multiple vets, techs, and specialists, we still don’t have answers- we need testing for answers. What we do know is that Lily has an alarming low white blood cell count and severe neck pain. These could indicate discospondylitis (a serious spinal infection), cancer, or another underlying disease. Until results from costly testing come back, we are stuck in limbo, and Lily is in pain and worsening…

I am asking for help towards her bills (so far at $5000) which will hopefully cover the immediate and urgent diagnostics to find out what’s wrong. Unfortunately, this is just the beginning. Once we know what we’re dealing with, treatment costs could be much higher but without a diagnosis, we can’t even start on a solution.
