My husband is a Cook at a restaurant in our local town. Mi Jalisco Mexican restaurant in Corbin KY. May 31st. Approx. at 9:30 pm. My husband was at work doing his work related duties that are structured the same every night. He was cleaning the grill, upon putting the solution onto the grill. The gas caught him on fire. He is currently in University of Louisville trauma/burn unit due to what has happened. He suffers from flash burns (his face and neck), following 2nd and 3rd degree burns on his arms,hands, lower back, lower abdomen, groin, upper back and front thigh areas. So now that we are here in the burn unit. My husband is suffering and I feel he deserves to be compensated in all aspects possible due to what had happened. He will be suffering from this for the rest of his life. Physically, psychologically, and financially suffering due to not being able to work going forward. He is permanently damaged in all ways a person can be damaged due to his injuries. This will be a long road to recovery for him as well as myself. Financially this has hit us very hard. He is the primary household income.

Due to this tragic even, I am reaching out to the public for help because I physically mentally and emotionally have so much on myself having to worry about the stress of how I am gunna figure out how to provide right now when my main concern and priority is to get my husband better. I’m having to travel back and forth from Louisville to Corbin KY. (2hour and 45 minute drive one way) and as we all know gas isn’t cheap right now. Food expenses isn’t either.

On top of that our primary household monthly bills will be due in the next couple days like rent and such. We have three daughters together and due to this situation the financial struggle is hitting our family hard. Anything will help and would be great appreciated to the fullest extent... This road to recovery will not be easy for us but certainly not for him. Any donations would bring the relief from this hard hit to our family and will bring Mario peace of mind knowing that he can concentrate on getting better and less of everything else.
