On beautiful Sunday afternoon while taking a drive on lake shore drive , My 19 year old niece Alexandria was a victim of another meaningless shooting in Chicago. Although she survived, the doctors could not save her left eye. She was struck in the face and the bullet exited her left side damaging her left eye completely. She is grateful for being alive and we are all so greatful to still have her here with us. She is optimistic about her future and what is to come. She is a strong, beautiful, smart young woman and with the support of her friends & family we will help her continue to push forward. She thanks everyone who has sent out prayers and kinds words her way from the bottom of her heart.
The family is asking for some support to help cover some of the costs of medical expenses and for anything she may need to help her recover. More importantly keep praying for her and her family in this unfair situation. We appreciate any kind of support.

En una hermosa tarde de domingo mientras conducía por la orilla del lago, mi sobrina de 19 años Alexandria fue víctima de otro tiroteo sin sentido en Chicago. Aunque sobrevivió, los médicos no pudieron salvar su ojo izquierdo. Fue golpeada en la cara y la bala salió por su lado izquierdo dañando su ojo izquierdo por completo. Ella está agradecida de estar viva y todos estamos muy agradecidos de tenerla aquí con nosotros. Es optimista sobre su futuro y lo que vendrá. Es una joven fuerte, hermosa e inteligente y con el apoyo de sus amigos y familiares la ayudaremos a seguir adelante.
