Hi my name is Tam since 2020 have lost 3 babies to missed miscarriage.

Each loss was extremely traumatic and I spent a lot of time in the Early Pregnancy Unit hearing my babies had died and having confirmation of death scans and follow up scans after surgery.

Each time I went into surgery I was given a small teddy from the hospital shop and it went everywhere with me, to day surgery, to appointments and it gave me some comfort at the worst possible time.

So I decided to set up a teddy bear box in Frimley Park Hospital Early Pregnancy Unit for other bereaved parents.

My initiative has been very successful since I launched it last December 2024 and has helped over 150 families

I have been funding this myself and have had a few donations from companies such as Smyths Toys and some other generous donations, those have now come to and end so I am asking for donations to allow me to continue this initiative.

My plan if I can secure enough funding is to roll it out to another local Early Pregnancy Unit.

The second thing I am raising money for is a bench to be placed near Goldsworth Park Lake in Woking dedicated to all the babies gone to soon, a focal point where people can gather to remember their babies no matter how long their pregnancy was.

This will then become the focal meeting place for the global wave of light walk which I organise at the end of baby loss awareness week that falls on 15th October every year.

The bench is £800 any further money will go towards supplying teddies to the hospitals for parents to take, likewise a lost baby could have a sibling who would also benefit from the comfort of a teddy.

I am doing this to created a lasting legacy for my babies Ember, Angel and Star so they can never be forgotten ♥️

Even of you can only spare one pound it all adds up and 1 in 4 pregnancies end in miscarriage leaving parents bereft and sometimes without anything physical to remember them by, this initiative and bench will provide comfort and recognition for every child lost.
