Anya is like a daughter of mine from Ukraine. At the orphanage in Ukraine where I served, Anya was in need of surgery to help her walk without a limp. We were able to help her with several surgeries, but the surgeon said that later in life she would need further treatment. Now is that time. She is now married with two children and she needs a hip replacement. Although this procedure would cost upwards of $50,000 here in the States, I have these estimates from the Ukrainian hospital for $8,000. We have about $2,000 raised so far, and this week for my birthday, I am asking for a gift to me for Anya. Would you help me with my birthday wish? I hope to be able to meet this goal by the end of the month, but would be thrilled to have the present on October 24 and be able to tell Anya that the surgery is a go!
