Anya's Aviation Education

Ladies and gentlemen, good evening. Welcome back on board Alpha - November - Yankee - Alpha (Anya). This is Co-pilot Tracy (mother) speaking and I have some updated information about our flight. Anya's flight plan has changed a bit due to some financial turbulence, but the new flight plan will still get us to our destination and even one more stop over on the way.

Anya continues to work diligently toward becoming a commercial pilot and flight instructor. In addition, she plans to get certified as an airplane mechanic. She is currently finishing her flight training for the instrument rating and will hopefully take the flying and oral test in the next month or two, perhaps by her high school graduation party in June. Plane rental is about $160 and $185/hour - depending on which plane she needs to fly. (Once she finishes the instrument rating she will need about 150 hours of fly time to complete her commercial rating. This does not include the instructor fees and test fees.)

Anya finished the first quarter at Academy College with a 4.0 and passed her instrument written test with a 93! (This test is supposedly the hardest of all.) Due to finances and not wanting to incur an enormous debt, Anya decided to leave the college program and just get the pilot certifications straight from the airport program. She is on a waiting list to get into the AMT program at Minneapolis College which at earliest would probably be Fall of 2025.

She got a line job at the Eden Prairie airport and will be working there to help pay for her instruction, plane rental, and tests. (We have lowered the approximate needed amount since she will not be in school and she is able to work more.)

As a missionary mother I am unable to help much in the financial realm so I would like ask if you are able to contribute to her aviation pursuit, any donation would be much appreciated.
