2018 is Year Three of my commitment to be on retreat for at least two months every year, and I’m writing to ask for your support.

The 2017 and 2016 retreats were very rich (and of course, challenging!). And they deepened and further clarified how important this commitment is, at this time of aging body and mind, and at this time in our World.

The Commitment, if I try to put it into words, is this:

*To see into and purify suffering created by this mind of greed, hate and delusion, which I have and which Buddha taught we all share.

*To offer prayers, energies, light, visualizations for healing myself, others, and our world.

*To build faith that hours spent in meditation and prayer not only have a great impact on my own spiritual development, but also genuinely help others who have asked for prayers. One family member testified she believes the prayers made on retreat made a difference in a very difficult situation – a true delight to hear.

I welcome your support in whatever ways you can offer it: your kind encouragement, your financial support (every $5 helps!), your prayers.

The funds will be used to pay for retreat housing, food for 10 weeks, some travel, and miscellaneous expenses.

And please let me know what intentions you’d like me to offer on my shrine and in my daily practice. I carry you all in my heart.

With gratitude and love, and a deep bow,
