I'm not going to lie, I'm no good at this. My beautiful son took his life on Friday, December 1st. We are all left reeling from the loss. Unfortunately he had no life insurance that I can find and we are trying to figure out how to deal with the loss which is made even more difficult from the stress of perhaps losing our home. My husband and I picked our home to make sure there was room for the whole family. Our whole family consisted of us, my mom, our daughter, our son and our grandkids (his kids).
He was my firstborn, the one who made me a mom. He was bright and had a quirky sense of humor. His beautiful smile worked well at hiding all the pain he must have been feeling. Anyone that's lost a child knows the heartache I will now have for the rest of my days. I pray and feel in my heart that he is now at peace.
He was an Army Veteran with PTSD, yet he still worked hard to provide for his kids. They were his world. He worked at our local Home Depot and enjoyed his job. He was only 33 and his kids are 13 and almost 11.
He proudly served our country for 6 years. He even served in Afghanistan for awhile. He loved being in the army and was very proud of his time of service. We were always proud of him regardless, but were extremely proud of his service as well. His grandfather served in the army as did his great grandfather. I guess that means it was kind of in his blood.
We really need help with funeral costs and to fix the room that was his. We need a new door, carpet or other flooring and to repair walls as well. Anything we get above and beyond I would like to set aside for his children’s future education.
Any amount of help or contribution will be greatly appreciated. Thank you to whoever takes the time to read this post and even considers helping.
